This article discusses the fundamental problems of controlling complexity, and the concept of technical debt. This article is one of the many that must truly be updated in the era of AI. I think very differently about complexity, now that I have had to code in partnership with AI, and my ideas as of three months ago have already shifted. I do not think that AI “solves” complexity, but it certainly does change how we wrestle with it.
